Stormy responded to questions and has agreed to make herself available as a witness, or for further inquiry if needed." It is hard to think of more clear and convincing evidence that someone is a snitch than their own lawyer admitting that they responded to questions from prosecutors or any law enforcement officer with anything other than a refusal to give information or a blanket denial of wrongdoing. She took things further by agreeing to testify as a witness.
Media reports indicate a high likelihood that Daniels will testify before a grand jury against Donald Trump. The subject of the inquiry will be payments she received from Trump in exchange for keeping quiet about the time he cheated on Melania with her. Sounds like Trump handled his affair like a gentleman by paying his mistress for her silence. Other guys might have resorted to threats or physical violence rather than pay a sex worker to keep her mouth shut. Trump should be rewarded for choosing to pay her when he could have easily found someone to shut her up for good for less.
How it is possible for such a proceeding to proceed at this time is not clear. The payments were made before the 2016 election and the statute of limitations for felonies in the state of New York is 5 years, so the government will likely have to argue a continuing criminal episode spanning this entire time just to get the case before a jury.
